This recording was originally made as a mono recording by Douglas Larter, with a stereo test version engineered by Chris Parker. “Day Of The Gusano” captures SLIPKNOT's historic Knotfest appearance in Mexico City on 5th December 2015. It was the band’s first concert in front of the city’s famously passionate rock and metal fans. From the moment the band arrived, the maggots (gusano in Spanish, the band’s own term for their fans, and happily adopted by the fans as a point of pride) were out in force and by the time of the show the atmosphere was electric. SLIPKNOT are one of the most exciting live bands on the planet and delivered both a visceral performance and spectacular staging for their Mexican debut. With a setlist featuring tracks from across their albums, this highly anticipated show gives a window into the chaos, excitement and community SLIPKNOT has cultivated over the past 20+ years.

Directed by SLIPKNOT’s own M.Shawn Crahan aka ‘Clown’ “Day of The Gusano” documents the band’s first ever visit to the country in Dec 2015 and features exclusive interviews with SLIPKNOT’s members talking about the importance of their fanbase and the band’s long awaited first ever show in Mexico City. The film also chronicles the rabid devotion of the Mexican maggots and sees the band hearing emotive stories from some of their fans all interspersed w/ footage from their incendiary live show.

"The History This" (La Historia Esta) is the third compilation album of the Argentine singer-songwriter Leon Gieco. It was released in 1998 by Leon's own label, Cañada Records, and the production was jointly produced by Gieco and the newspaper Page 12. The album consists of seven volumes that compile recordings made by the musician over the years and which are part of his private collection. Most are live and unreleased recordings, or collaborations on albums by other artists such as: David Byrne, Joan Manuel Serrat, Charly Garcia, Mercedes Sosa, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Lolita Torres, Milton Nascimento, Andrés Calamaro, Pedro Aznar, Adriana Varela , Sui Generis, Ruben Rada, Pablo Milanés, Chico Buarque, Sixto Palavecino, Ariel Ramírez, Silvina Garré, Juan Carlos Baglietto, Lito Nebbia, Horacio Guaraní, Celeste Carballo, Piero, Los Caballeros de la Quema, Raúl Porchetto and Nito Mestre.

This disc presents arrangements of the Fifth Symphony, The Running Set and Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, performed by Anthony Goldstone and Caroline Clemmow. The Fifth Symphony arrangement, which opens the disc, was made by Michael Mullinar, a student and friend of Vaughan Williams’, and was overseen and edited by Vaughan Williams, making it a collaborative effort. Goldstone and Clemmow play very sensitively -- there is a real magic to the opening of the third movement, although the performers are slightly let down by the tuning of their instruments, which isn’t fabulous. The arrangement of The Running Set by Holst’s colleagues and friends Vally Lasker and Helen Bidder is great fun. This work lends itself far better to piano arrangement than the Symphony or, indeed, the following Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. I found that my scepticism regarding a two-piano version of the latter was justified: the piano is just too percussive an instrument to capture the shimmering string sound of this gorgeous piece. Of course, the benefit of arrangements of this nature is that they enable the listener to hear more clearly things that might be missed in the thicker orchestral texture, but I have to confess that, personally, I cannot imagine reaching for a piano reduction when full orchestral versions are available to listen to. Nevertheless, these are undoubtedly fine performances of these works.
